We went to a sheep herder demonstration in Waterville that was really interesting. The sheep were up on a hillside and just by sounds or whistles the dog would move them to the left or right or down the hill or keep them in one place - it was crazy. Then the herder introduced a second dog, and with a different set of sounds the two dogs could split the sheep up and move them to different places - what they did if they wanted a particular sheep or lamb.
